Terrorism by HiranyaKashyapa

   A few of us friends attend classes where a Guruvu garu (highly knowledgeable in Vedas and a professor of Microbiology and Immunology at a famous local university) teaches us from Bhagavatam and other Sastras. A couple of Sundays ago, he began explaining the Prahlada Charitam. In our younger days, we merely learned about the story. But our Guruvu garu pointed out the similarities of Hiranyakashypa’s actions (as illustrated by Sage Veda Vyasa) to the terrorist activities of modern times.

     If we did not get satisfied by a fast narration of the story in our younger days, but paid closer attention to the details presented by Veda Vyasa Maharishi, we would have been wiser. I thought I would share the details by clipping (from pages 26 to 29 of the document; reference given at the end) and pasting a few paragraphs (Telugu translations by Swami Tatva Vidananda Saraswathi). The reference is given at the bottom.
